Mixed Boxercise

Boxercise instructor

Boxercise brings in all the movements of boxing, with no contact. This is technical but also fun. Moves will be performed slowly at first so don't worry if you haven't boxed before.

Tuesday evenings: 6.30-715 at Limitless 17 Burton Road, Melton Mowbray.

Why I coach fitness?

I trained for many years, mainly endurance cycling, sportives, and time trials which I thoroughly enjoyed, It gave me great fitness specifically cardio.

I worked in IT and found my cycling activity helped me manage stress, it also gave me an outlet.

Against the formidable backdrop of stage 4 cancer in July 2015, (Brain tumour, mets of liver, lungs, and lymph nodes) my journey was a testament to my resilience and above all hope. Endless support from loved ones (my wife), cutting-edge medical treatments (immunotherapy), and an unwavering positive mindset became my allies.

Each day was a battle, but I found strength in the small victories — a smile, a shared laugh, and the warmth of support.

Celebrating life’s simple joys became my therapy. Surrounded by an incredible medical team and a circle of unwavering love, I emerged on the other side, not just a survivor, but a testament to the extraordinary power of perseverance and the human spirit. I was given 6 months but I am still around today to share my war stories :).

Fitness became my friend, it allowed me to gain strength in my very weak right side, I would never underestimate how strength training & cardio can be so beneficial not only for physical health but mental as well. Deciding to train in coaching fitness became my priority and my bad luck health-wise has given me the tools to do this.
